Beyond Pink and Blue: How crossing the gender line in friendship can benefit kids

I recently did an interview with CBC news about the importance of helping our children make friends across the gender lines.


The more often we expose children to play outside of traditional gender norms, the richer their lives becomes.


One of the key ideas is to talk about gender early with our children and challenge our own stereotypes. The benefits of play between girls and boys lasts well past childhood and can help with personal and professional relationships well past childhood.
